COAMC Organized Training Program for Middle Managers in December 2013

From December 2, 2013 to December 6, 2013, COAMC’s middle managers training program of 2013 was held respectively in Tsinghua University, Peking University and Renmin University. The previous training program for middle managers was held from November 25 to November 29 in Fudan University.

This training fulfills the purpose of elevating the middle management level and upgrading middle managers’ knowledge structure. Sixty-six of COAMC’s middle managers participated in the Tsinghua University training program. The training course included macroeconomics and financial industry analysis (taught by Professor Zhang Taowei from the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua), financial management for non-finance staff (taught by Associate Professor Xiaoxing from the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua), management communication and team building (taught by Professor Qian Xiaojun from the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua), business model design and financial innovation (taught by Professor Zhu Wuxiang), private equity investment and financing (taught by Hu Zhibin, Chairman and CEO of Shanghai Broad Resources Investment Management), corporate risk management and internal control (taught by Director Li Jun from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission), and M&A and consolidation (taught by Professor Chen Jinrong from the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua).

Fifty-three of COAMC’s middle managers participated in the Peking University training program. The course included high-performing teams and management communication (taught by Professor Wang Hui from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University), merger and acquisition (taught by Professor Li Jin from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University), financial analysis and management (taught by Associate Professor Jiang Guohua from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University), the art of leadership (taught by Professor Huang Tieying from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University), “What Went Wrong in China’s Stock Market” (taught by Professor Liu Qiao from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University), and financial intermediation models in an economic transformation (also taught by Professor Liu Qiao).

Seventy-one of COAMC’s middle managers participated in the Renmin University training program. The course included macroeconomics and financial market analysis (taught by Dean Guo Qingwang from the School of Finance of Renmin University), financial instruments and investment strategies (taught by Assistant Dean Lei Chengyao from the School of Finance of Renmin University), financial management knowledge for managers (taught by Professor Wu Ge from the School of International Business of the University of International Business and Economics), equity investment and fund management (taught by Yi Shan, CEO of JD Capital), risk management in financial institutions (taught by Professor Zang Rihong from China Agricultural University), leadership and executive skills (taught by Professor Shi Wei from the School of Labor and Human Resources of Renmin University), and crisis management (taught by Professor Tu Guangjin from the School of Journalism and Communication of Renmin University).

Seventy of COAMC’s middle managers participated in the Fudan University training program. The course included private equity investment and corporate development (taught by Zhang Le, partner of DT Capital), M&A and corporate restructuring (taught by Cui Kai, partner of ALLPKU Management Consulting), leadership psychology (taught by Tan Pingjun, senior HRM consultant and Director of EDP education administrative department of the School of Management of Fudan University), Management Wisdom of Sui and Tang Dynasties (taught by Professor Han Sheng, postgraduate and Ph.D supervisor from the History Department of Fudan University), corporate risk management (Yang Fang, CEO and executive partner of Shanghai Reis Control), and corporate financial management (Professor Qian Shizheng from the School of Management of Fudan University).

This training program upgraded the knowledge reserve of middle management, and also provided a platform for communication and exchange. The four training sessions were organized by Equity Investment Department, Investment Banking Department, Executive Office and Human Resources Department at the headquarter. There were totally two hundred and sixty middle management members from COAMC headquarters, provincial branches, and holding companies.
